What Is It?

Corrective exercises are detail oriented exercises curated for each patient to assist with correcting movement patterns and decreasing discomfort brought on by musculoskeletal imbalances. Corrective exercises can assist with issues related to postural issues, muscular imbalances, joint instability, and limited mobility or range of motion. Stretching, strengthening, and neuromuscular re-education activities may be used in order to improve an individual’s range of motion and decrease the risk of injury.

Individuals of all ages and fitness levels can benefit from corrective exercises, but those who are healing from surgery, suffering from chronic pain, or having mobility limitations may find them most useful. Corrective exercises may also be applied as a preventative approach to deal with possible problems before they worsen.
